Talking To Your Aging Parents About Money

As your parents get older, there are certain discussions you will need to have. Health, death, and finances are a few topics that adult children tend to shy away from when it comes to conversations.

According to a recent article by U.S. News and World Report, there are five big discussions that are particularly import to have with your aging parents.

“Plenty of elderly parents are fully aware of their limitations and have a firm grasp on their financials and health. But if you have an aging or money-strapped parent who needs your help, and you’re not sure what to say to them, these ideas may work as conversation starters.”

The article goes on to outline each of the topics, including moving to a nursing home and giving up driving, and guides how to begin each conversation.
